2 teaspoons curry powder
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 pounds sirloin steak, cubed
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon cider vinegar
1 clove minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
1/2 teaspoon cayenne or red pepper flakes
1/2 cup water
Marinate the beef in the curry, soy sauce, lemon juice,
brown sugar and oil for several hours or overnight. Place on skewers and grill
or barbecue.
Combine peanut butter, lime juice, soy sauce, honey vinegar,
garlic, ginger, red pepper with water in saucepan. Bring to a simmer over
medium heat while stirring frequently. Can be served immediately or can be
stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Serve beef with spicy peanut sauce for an appetizer or with
rice and a salad for dinner.
